SCWD Annual Conference Cancellation conditions

At delegate’s initiative

Cancellation policy: Cancellation of a registration will be subject to the following conditions:
Cancellation of registration before May 1, 2023: 50% refund of registration fee.
Cancellation of registration after May 1, 2023: no reimbursement

Modification from onsite to online
The booker may change their registration from the onsite event to the online event until 1 May and will be refunded the difference of the original fee paid and online fee at time of change.

Miscellaneous
Should a delegate not attend the congress, for whatever reason, no further claims for reimbursement or waiving of fees can be made.

Modification of the programme
The SCWD reserves the right to modify the conference programme at any time, which is published as an indication only and subject to change.
No waiving of fees nor right to further claims will be possible should the SCWD be obliged to alter the programme of conference.

Changes, postponement and cancellation
Given serious cause, the SCWD is entitled to postpone (modify the dates), to curtail the duration, or to cancel the onsite event. In the event of complete or part postponement or curtailment, the registration is regarded as valid for a possible new date and new duration for the said onsite event.
If the onsite event has to be cancelled, the SCWD will strive to maintain the online event and any onsite registration will be automatically transferred to an online registration. The delegate will be refunded the difference between the onsite and online fee, at the rate applicable when the original onsite fee was paid.
If, due to any contingency that the SCWD cannot overcome (in particular force majeure), both the onsite event and the online event have to be cancelled, registrations by individuals will be reimbursed in full. Apart from reimbursement of registration fees, delegates will not be entitled to compensation for any costs or damages incurred as a consequence of such event cancellation, change or postponement. For example, no compensation will be due for costs related to housing and travel arrangements.
All delegates are urged to take personal travel insurance.
