Introducing the Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle (JCSM)

Introducing the Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle (JCSM), a peer-reviewed publication focusing on body composition, muscle loss, and their implications in chronic diseases.

We are proud to announce our Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle. JCSM, Online ISSN:2190-6009, is dedicated to publishing research related to body composition, muscle loss during the normal lifespan, and as part of chronic disease.

About the Journal

The Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle is an international peer-reviewed journal that focuses on publishing research and clinical materials related to cachexia, sarcopenia, and changes in body composition during the lifespan and in response to various illnesses from all fields of the life sciences.

JCSM caters to physicians, biochemists, biologists, dieticians, pharmacologists, and students, featuring research and studies on:

  • The functional importance of fat tissue
  • Mechanisms leading to lipolysis
  • Mechanisms of muscle wasting
  • Better screening and evaluation options
  • Enhanced biomarkers through validated complementary investigations

Call for Submissions

The editors of JCSM are inviting original research papers, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses on epidemiological data and interventions discussing the reduction of the incidence of chronic disorders that could produce later disease-related sarcopenia and/or cachexia.

Please consider submitting such papers to JCSM. We will aim to give these papers our particular attention and provide a fast review process to publish this work in 2022, where feasible.
